CNC TURNER / PROGRAMMER - FANUC CONTROLS – £26364 - £32448 + OVERTIME (EQUIVALENT TO £13 - £16 PER HOUR) – BASED HOCKLEY, BIRMINGHAMThis company is a progressive medium sized engineering company based at two purpose built facilities near Birmingham city centre. It designs, manufactures and assembles precision components, machine tools and associated work station fixtures for the aerospace, automotive and nuclear industries.  It has invested heavily in new machinery including state of the art CNC technology and the role is varied and interesting. As CNC Turner / CNC Programmer, you will be offered a good basic salary of £26364 - £32448 (equivalent to £13-£16 per hour) based on a 39 hour week with regular paid overtime (time and a half) and an annual profit related bonus.  Core hours are Monday – Thursday 7.30am – 4.30pm and Friday 7.30am – 3.00pm.  Reporting to the Production Manager, you’ll be responsible for producing small batch work with quantities between 1 and 5.  Specifically you’ll be:  - Programming Fanuc machining centres in a sub contract environment- Producing components to drawing tolerance and specifications accurately- CNC turning and programming- CNC setting and operating- Determining production techniques and analysis of manufacturing performance Machines include Puma Doosan/MAZAK Horizontal Lathes, as well as larger vertical lathes.To be successful you must:- Have significant demonstrable track record of CNC programming, setting and operating within a busy manufacturing environment. - Be a fully competent CNC programmer - ideally with Fanuc programming experience. - Have experience in reading complex engineering drawings and using modern inspection equipment. - Have experience in aerospace, oil and gas subcontract environment is preferred. - An exceptional eye for detail and quality control. - Proven capability to work using your own initiative.Overtime paid at time and a half, annual profit related bonus, pension scheme, PPE suppliedThe first stage of the application process is to apply online. Servicing the construction, civil engineering, piling and ground engineering industries. Our client has a purpose built facility centrally based in Stratford upon Avon, Warwickshire which includes a modern fully equipped workshop with 25 tons overhead crane, fabrication shop with fume extraction and 2 overhead cranes, large wash bay with water recycling system plus a state of the art paint centre with baking oven, extraction system and the ability to finish equipment in 2-pack solid paint. Their rental fleet comprises in the region of 100 items of specialist equipment including crawler cranes, mini cranes, telescopic crawler cranes, pile driving rigs, excavator mounted side grip vibro and impact hammer rigs, telescopic leader rigs, CFA piling rigs, drilling tools, bored piling rigs, mixing plants and soil mixing equipment. They also carry large stocks of used equipment. The Role: The successful Mobile Heavy Plant Fitter will be qualified and have experience in Heavy Plant Equipment. The client is based in Warwickshire, and in this role you will travel nationwide and also work at the workshop in Stratford-Upon-Avon as required.. role requires someone who has high standards, and eye for detail and who is committed and flexible. You must be able to work as part of a team to produce top quality work. Typically you would be expected to work up to approximately 70 hours a week in this mobile role - including travelling time. The £50,000 pa salary is based on these hours. Our client supports its employees with training. As well as heavy Plant experience, it would also be a great advantage if you have auto electrics and crane experience/knowledge. You will become involved in all stages of the engineering lifecycle; from concept through to verification and validation of production systems. In addition, you will have a broad knowledge and understanding of power converter design and application. Ideally, you will have worked on power electronic products operating from 400V ac supplies and switching in excess of 100 Amps. Preferably you will have a detailed understanding of digital control of asynchronous and permanent magnet machines, and an ability to use simulation tools such as MATLAB and Simulink, although training can be provided on simulation tools. You will have a proven track record of product design and verification in a relevant environment.
