Developing the design of a new range of electronic and mechanical heat interface units.Developing hardware, firmware and software for required products.Sourcing suitable components in conjunction with the purchasing department.Ongoing development of suitable quality and testing plans.Advising on and helping implement suitable test equipment and related laboratory facilities.Training the technical team to give first line support.New product development of related products.Following health & safety requirements.Following the requirements of the Quality Management System.
To be a successful Development Engineer you will have the following skills and experience:
Mechanical, electronic and building services engineering experience.You will be qualified to HNC/HND or degree level along with relevant experience.Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.A highly organised approach to work.Be an innovative hands-on practical individual.Have an organised and structured approach to technology.

On completion of the apprenticeship you will achieve an NVQ level 3.The first year of the apprenticeship will be a residential training programme (Sunday to Friday) . The residential establishment will be in the South East of England. During the the remainder of the apprenticeship, apprentices will be based in their county working with a mentor to complete their apprenticeship. Mentors will be experienced Mechanical Technicians who are selected for their knowledge of the company and their job, providing a guiding presence during training. In addition to their mentor, apprentices will also be supported by their team members, our apprenticeship programme lead as well as our specialist training provider.THE CANDIDATE: We require our apprentices to have or expect to achieve a minimum of grade C or above (or equivalent) in Maths and English. . An interest and / or skills in Mechanical would be a distinct advantage. They should not be colour blind. As we cover a large area in the South-East, successful applicants must obtain a full driving licence before the end of the their apprenticeship and we will support them by reimbursing the cost of 10 driving lessons. Modern Apprentices are paid on a developing scale throughout their apprenticeship, starting on £13,500 apprentices will receive incremental increases each year subject to satisfactory performance. Apprentices will also be entitles to join our pension scheme, 25 days annual leave, PPE and tools. There are currently opportunity available in Worthing, Horsham and Hastings areas. As part of continued growth, they are now seeking a process engineer with an expertise within the Gas sector. Working within the small projects team, you will help deliver innovative and varied consultancy services to Gas networks and utility companies. You will be responsible for the production of high quality technical reports and presentations, whilst working closely with the internal projects team and external clients. Our client has a varied portfolio of innovation projects in subject areas related to the networks. As the Process engineer, you must be hands on and able to plan, supervise and manage technical trials. Part of your role will include representing our client at industry events. We are looking for someone that has gas specific qualifications and a passion to drive improvements to the industry through process and design. You must be commercially minded with an understanding of network and industry regulations. Due to the nature of this role, travel throughout the UK will be required as well as overseas.
