It is now seeking a Technical Sales Engineer based in Southport to join its expanding team. Due to the nature of the role, client site visits maybe required, therefore applicants will need to hold a full UK driving licence. As a Technical Sales Engineer, your duties will be to: • Advise customers on specifications and individual requirements.• Maintain excellent customer relationship management.• Responsible for the creation and provision of quotations.• Process plant equipment orders, especially where the client requires advice on equipment selection.• Ensure that all open quotations are chased and updated on the CRM systems.• Keep up to date with products, competitors and relevant legislation.• Maintain the integrity of operational databases.• Provide any potential business development within new or dormant clients. The successful Technical Sales Engineer will have the following skills and experience: • Must have previous experience working within a technical sales environment/role.• Educated to GCSE level or equivalent.• Ideally, have a City & Guilds Electrical Installation Part 1 & 2.• Strong confident communication skills.• Must be able to prioritise workload.• Ability to liaise with other departments and customers all levels in a professional manner at all times.• Excellent team player with the ability to work on own initiative.• Must hold a full UK driving licence. To be a successful Technical Manager you will have the following skills and experience: • Experience as an Electrical Engineer.• Previously worked in a design, product development or R&D background.• Knowledge of Battery Storage technology a must.• Knowledge of CE Markings and EMC regulations.• Basic understanding of programming and concept techniques.• Experience of the renewable energy sector – ideally solar, wind and heat pumps.
