Steelwork Plater-Welders needed. Excellent full time PAYE vacancies based in Portsmouth.Please note: This is a permanent "late shift" and working hours are 4pm-12.30am.It is due to a contintued increase in workload that we seek addtional Plater-Welders to join the existing fabrication team. Working with Reinforced Bar, this role will only involve spot welding and some work with bar bending equipment.You will be working off simple drawings, building cages, spot welding hoops. Hours - Monday to Friday - 8am - 5pm The primary role of a Fabricator is to help deliver a premium fabricated product by supporting colleagues and contributing in the delivery and achievement of overall team and business objectives The Fabricator will work with the Workshop Manager, to maintain our key controls by: o             Liaising with the Workshop Welders to ensure best production methods o             Maintaining all machinery, completing daily maintenance reports and reporting any faults to the Workshop Manager o             Completing all checklists to adhere to ISO 9001: 2008 regulations o             Undertaking all training provided by our client and machinery suppliers to adhere with Health & Safety regulations o             Maintain and achieve effective working within a given timeframe o             Ensure products are fit for purpose and fit within working tolerance o             Grinding/prep-work for welded product o             General assistance in busy points within workshop/warehouse to aid production flow o             Overseeing all aspects of fabrication process from receipt of the unique job file to the finished product by having a full working knowledge of the relevant machinery involved o             Good understanding of hand fabrication/fit up o             To adhere to all Health and Safety regulations o             To adhere to all ISO 9001: 2008 regulations, issuing Non Conformity Reports as and when it becomes necessary                                                                                                                                      o             Communication skills with command of the English language both written and verbal o             Good understanding of numerical work.
