Steelwork Plater-Welders needed. Excellent full time PAYE vacancies based in Derby. Very competitive hourly rates and plenty of hours available (50hours p/w basic +optional OT).Our client is a successful and busy engineering company based in Derby, they manufacture heavy structural steel (columns, floor beams, rafters etc) and due to planned expansion they now seek additional Plater-Welders to join their fabrication team on a permanent PAYE basis.Plater-Welder duties:-Read and work to CAD produced fabrication drawings.-Position and weld up any plates/cleats etc as indicated on the drawings. They design, fabricate and erect a range of structural steelwork (schools, hospitals, industrial warehouses, retail units etc) throughout the UK and they now seek a Civil & Structural Engineering TechnicianDuties of the Civil Technician include:•Creating engineering design plans. AutoCad is essential for this role. Training will be given on any other software the company uses as required.•Draft detailed dimensional drawings and design layouts for projects and to ensure conformance to specifications. This is an exciting full time PAYE opportunity based in North Inverness with an excellent salary and friendly work environment on offer for the successful candidate.Our client is a well established and busy steelwork fabrication business who specialise in structural steelwork design and build projects. Projects range from portal frame buildings such as warehouses etc to beam and stick projects such as offices and hotels. They also get involved with some stairs, ladders, handrailing, cladding etc.The successful Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for taking measurements, valuations, reviewing main/sub contractors, managing and valuing of variations/CEs, negotiating and closing final accounts etc. You will also be working alongside Contract Managers and provide commercial/administrative advise and assistance to ensure smooth delivery of projects.Requirements: The successful Quantity Surveyor will have a minimum of 5 years experience working with a steelwork contractor, have good working knowledge of NEC 3 (ECC), and experience of SBCC & JCT would be advantageous.
