The company specialises in providing innovative waste reduction and recycling services for industrial and commercial waste producers, which involve the core principle of on-site waste segregation, often through the provision of waste compactors, balers and waste handling systems that are individually selected to enable waste reduction and improved efficiency.  Over the last ten years, we have developed a broad customer account base of high profile manufacturers and affiliated organisations, our services covering all aspects of waste and resource management, industrial services and associated environmental control products. To deliver this and to support our substantial equipment rental fleet, Forward Waste Management has developed its own in-house waste handling systems division, Enviroquip, producing high quality waste compaction and baling systems from fully equipped production and maintenance facilities, from fabrication, assembly and fit out to site installation, maintenance and repair services provided by our mobile engineering team. Reporting to the Operations Director, the Company requires an experienced and multi-disciplined Engineering Manager responsible for the continued success of our engineering division and equipment fleet, developing and managing all operational aspects, from full P&L responsibility through to the development of staff and facilities. Core responsibilities will include:-Interaction with sales team Production of AutoCAD generated site layout drawings to assist in sales generation Confirmation of correct system specifications with sales department and customers Liaison with customers at pre-installation stage, include site surveys to confirm site power and access requirements Customer follow up after installation   Manufacturing, repair & refurbishment Production planning, scheduling, labour utilisation and cost estimates  Sourcing of materials and components for worksManagement of outsourced engineering activities Compliance with CE marking, PUWER and LOLER regulationsPDI’s and quality control Equipment supply Dealing with UK and European OEM  suppliers,  ensuring correct specification and managing         agreed lead times    Fleet management & service Managing equipment delivery and installation at training customer sites, with associated staff training Handling inbound breakdown call-outs, including troubleshooting and fault diagnosis Costing and quotation of chargeable repairs  Optimising mobile engineers utilisation through service planner Analysing callout and repair trendsMaintain and develop best use of existing InspHire hire fleet software systemProduction and control of all RAMS and quality control proceduresLiaison with third party engineers Ensure all site work is carried out in accordance with company SOP’s, Safe Contractor and ISO 9001standards  Development of strategy Produce divisional strategy plans in line with overall Company objectives Personnel development Assist HR director in the recruitment of engineering staff Devise and manage the  development of engineering staff in line with divisional and company objective Systems development Develop and enhance existing production management systems Maintain workshop equipment itinerary and associated PUWER documentationMaintain records of equipment testing (e.g. LOLER, PAT, Overhead crane, Forklift Truck, Harnesses, Lifting Gear, etc.) P&L and asset control Raising purchase orders and preparation of job sheets for invoicingControl of purchasing, stores and stock control, including routine stock takes.   Essential skills & experience required:  Demonstrable success and experience in Engineering and Production Management, preferably  within steel fabrication and mechanical assembly applications, with clear leadership and man management skillsTime served qualified engineer, qualified to at least HND Mechanical Engineering, with clear working knowledge of hydraulic and electrical Control systems sufficient to provide design and fault finding NEBOSH/IOSH qualified with full understanding of safe working protocols within production, manufacturing & site environments Computer literate including Internet, e-mail, Word and ExcelAutoCAD 2D and AutoCAD Inventor 3D modelling to create production drawings and site layout plans Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to build relationships with staff, colleagues, customers, suppliers and subcontractors through effective verbal  and written communication skillsCommercially minded with constant commitment to profit generation through the delivery of quality, value added products and services Demonstrate attention to detail and possess self motivation to complete tasks within agreed timescalesHighly organised, reliable, flexible and dependable in line with the needs of the business, with aability to work under pressure with  minimal supervision in a fast paced environmentHold full clean driving licence   A knowledge and experience of waste handling equipment including compactors and balers, covering their design, application, repair and maintenance would be preferred   Please e-mail your CV  NO AGENCIES! They provide Precision Engineered Components, Sub-assemblies and Finished Parts, Tooling, Jigs and Fixtures, Fabrications and Engineered Solutions. The main responsibilities for this role - CNC Milling Machinist ( Programming, Setting, Operating, Time Served, Manual Lathes, Milling Machines ) This role is based in Pontardulais, Swansea. Produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies. Skills required for this role - CNC Milling Machinist ( Programming, Setting, Operating, Time Served, Manual Lathes, Milling Machines ) Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances. Plans stock inventory by checking stock to determine amount available; anticipating needed stock; placing and expediting orders for stock; verifying receipt of stock. Programs mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs. Sets-up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices; tramming heads. Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
