A well-established and well-respected manufacturing organisation is seeking to appoint an experienced Quality Manager (Aerospace) to work at its site close to Manchester.  The company manufactures specialised Systems to customers within the aerospace and defence sectors world-wide.  The role will include leading the company towards the full accreditation of AS9100 (Rev D), including final audit and post audit activity.  The role will also be involved in wider initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement, reducing the Cost of Quality and Right First Time.  Although previous experience in Aerospace and/or Defence is desirable, Candidates will be considered with similar experience in an alternative manufacturing environment with a stringent regulatory environment. As Quality Manager (Aerospace) you will be responsible for: - Leading initiatives for the renewal of key aerospace approvals, organise and lead audits and work with regulatory authorities.  These include AS9100 Rev ‘D’ and other regulatory requirements, including NADCAP and EASA;Working closely with Engineering, Operations and Supply Chain Management to ensure the full implementation of the regulatory environment, including appropriate company-wide training and development initiatives;Being familiar with, raising FAIR’s, DAR’s, Concessions, plans, plus experience of RCCA;Continuing the ongoing support of design and manufacturing processes in reducing the cost of quality and customer delivery times through Lean Manufacturing and CI activities, including Root Cause Analysis, 5 ‘S’, FMEA and SPC techniques.  To be a successful Quality Manager (Aerospace) you will have the following skills and experience: - QM experience within an aerospace/defence manufacturing environment and ideally qualified to HND/Degree level in an engineering or technical discipline. However, experience in other manufacturing sectors with a stringent regulatory environment will also be considered. An award winning consultancy specialising in the provision of technical services to the London residential building sector now seeks to add an experienced M&E Project Manager with Mechanical Bias. As Project Manager, you will be working on site, being responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time & to budget. Projects are generally separate to usual day-to-day activities within the business and will require a group of colleagues to work together in order to achieve specific objectives. The Project Manager will oversee the project to ensure the desired results are achieved and the most efficient resources are utilised. They manufacture precision products for clients located throughout the world.The main function of the role will be to carry out Goods Inwards Inspection activities for the site and the duties will include:Duties & Responsibilities; * Carry out inspection of First-off items and supplied goods using a combination of manual gauging, CMM and surface testing equipment. * Carry out in-process inspection audits and provide constructive feedback to machine shop and assembly staff. * Monitor the use and condition of in-process and central inspection gauging.
