An expanding company in the nuclear industry is seeking a Senior Project Engineer based in Skelmersdale to join its expanding team. The company are a family run company, founded in 1965 and its customers in various industries including, nuclear, glass, food, cable, packaging and aerospace.As the Senior Project Engineer your duties will include: • Quotations from customer requirements / customer drawings.• Document pack production.• Material procurement and expediting.• Expediting of orders and projects.• Liaison with customers and dealing with technical queries and variations to contracts. To be a successful Senior Project Engineer you will have the following skills and experience: • Knowledge of design / drawings / pattern development 2D / 3D, Autocad, Solidworks etc.• Sound knowledge of materials both ferrous and non-ferrous.• A strong knowledge of documentation in the nuclear industry is beneficial.• Able to work flexible hours.• Understanding of customer needs and lead times and the ability to ‘make it happen’. Normal hours of work are flexible but generally 08:30 to 17:30 Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday morning or evenings as required to meet deadlines. In return, the Senior Project Engineer will receive a salary of £32,000 and £40,000 per annum depending on experience. The job title of ‘Senior’ relates simply to the level of experience and has no relevance to age.
