A well-established office furniture manufacturer operating within a 28,000 square foot premises located in Upper Clatford, Andover is seeking an Industrial Sewist to join its expanding team. As the Industrial Sewist your duties will include: • Manual tasks which require the use of hand tools and machinery;• Assist the upholstery process in manufacturing soft office furnishings. In return the Industrial Sewist will receive a pay rate of £8.50 to £10.00 per hour dependent on experience, plus full training will be given on the use of all required tools and machinery. During quiet periods when all outstanding seam work is complete you may be asked to work in other areas of our factory. Focusing on companies in the UK, Europe and China. As the Maintenance Engineer your duties will include: Being be responsible for ensuring that the plant machinery and equipment meets agreed standards of performance and complies with Company policies and procedures.  To be a successful Maintenance Engineer you will have the following skills and experience: Minimum of Mechanical City & Guilds.Time served an apprenticeship.Multi skilled in mechanical / electrical.Flexible in terms of working hours.Computer literate and used to working with a planned maintenance system.Possess fault diagnostic skills on Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Electrical and Mechanical equipment.Conversant with LEAN and continuous improvement techniques.Experience of involvement in project installations and machine enhancements and improvements to efficiency.Experience with PLCs and ABB robots.  You will be working Monday to Thursday 06.45-16.45, Friday 06.45-14.30 (plus overtime).In return, the Maintenance Engineer will receive a salary of £15 per hour.
