The Role
Responsible to the Operations Director you will administer and oversee the Health, Safety and Environmental Management System ensuring compliance with ISO14001.Annually review H&S processes and procedures.Continuously develop and manage the H&S employee website.Represent the UK business in dealings with regulators, insurers and external certification bodies.Plan, develop and contribute to risk assessment programmes and audits.Advise on legal compliance, liability and procedural issues.Carry out health and safety inductions.Deliver in house training where appropriate.Advise on training needs.Ensure investigation of accidents / incidents.Support the facilities manager in managing on-site contractors.Act as mentor to the Safety, Health and Environment Assistant.
Previous experience working for a manufacturer within the automotive, OEM, aftermarket, off highway, agricultural or commercial vehicle sectors would be of benefit.Our ideal candidate will possess experience in a similar health and safety and facilities role.Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills and experience in delivering training is essential.Good level of computer literacy.An NEBOSH or equivalent IOSH Management certification and ISO auditing awareness.
