A local fabrication company which has been in business since 1999 are looking for a fabricator to join their team in Wimborne. They have a wide range of services available to all their customers, both residential and commercial and pride themselves on the extensive local knowledge they have acquired over the years of trading.You will be fabricating and welding using both MIG and TIG and will be given engineering drawings to work from to manufacture all steel work both in the workshop and on site. You will be required to work to deadlines and will need good communication skills.As a Fabricator, your daily duties will include:
Accurately follow engineering drawings to fabricate and erect steel structures.Complete all fabrication/Site worker tasks as assigned by the Line Manager accurately and efficiently, using own initiative as far as possible.Perform all fabricating tasks to a high standard.Produce accurate finished work from engineering drawings.Operating work equipment safely, ensuring that safety checks are carried out.Taking responsibility for the health and safety of yourself and of others who may be affected by your acts or omissions at work.Wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for all work tasks.
To be a successful Fabricator, you will have the following skills and experiences:
A minimum of 4 GCSE’s grade C or above (must include Math’s and English) or evidence of a consistent pattern of learning from education, training, or experience.To currently be a coded welder or have been in the past and willing to be retested.Preferably previous experience in site work and steel erection.Previous experience working from Engineering drawings.A good understanding of Steel Fabrication and Welding.Ability to work individually or as part of a team.A full UK Driving license.The ability to work flexibly.
