Projects are generally separate to usual day-to-day activities within the business and will require a group of colleagues to work together in order to achieve specific objectives. Their Electronics division is a diversified manufacturer of electronic devices and value-added manufacturing services for use in a broad range of applications, including aerospace and defence electronics, security and inspection systems, and medical monitoring and diagnostics.The Re-worker/Assembler Role:This is an exciting opportunity for a Re-worker/Assembler to join a rapidly expanding, and successful team.If you are self-motivated, comfortable working in a fast paced environment, with proven experience in electronic assembly and re-working, then we would love to hear from you.Key Responsibilities of the Re-worker/Assembler: Make an assessment of the correct method to use for each item requiring reworkSet up the rework process to produce the optimum resultUsing either an existing set up a new rework procedure to repair a PCBA if neededMinimise the possibility for damage to the components or PCBABe responsible for providing guidance to other less experienced operators on rework methods & techniquesProvide training to other staff on any special techniques used to rework an assemblyFollow all quality procedures that cover rework & repairEnsure all rework equipment is kept in good condition and is serviceableTo keep to date with the latest rework technologies through reading journals, attending training courses on rework techniques Work efficiently and to the timescales required of youRecord the details of items reworked and the processes usedSeek customer approval for the rework required for specified PCBAs through the quality dept Skills & Experience Required: Excellent soldering skills to the IPC-C-610 standard and rework skills to IPC-7711/7721 including Printed Circuit assembly (PCBA) track repair skills Good knowledge of electronic components, their types and values from markings or codes and how they should be reworked in an assemblyConfident in the operation of all SMT rework equipment in line with manufactures guidelines ensuring the minimum of any damage to PCBs and components during rework operations.
