THE ROLEI am now seeking an experienced SITE ENGINEER at intermediate or senior level for a range of projects including highways, local roads, drainage and earthworks for a role based in either TONBRIDGE or SEVENOAKS, KENTTHE CLIENTOur client is a large firm of civil engineering contractors. They work on projects across the U.K. for highways, new housing estates, business centres and more concentrating on the infrastructure including earthworks, drainage, sewers, roads, highways etc.THE CANDIDATEI am seeking an experienced Intermediate or Senior Site Engineer with a civil engineering background to join them on site in Kent. You will need to have several years or more site based experience and you must hold a current CSCS card.You must have experience of using all surveying instruments, be able to co-ordinate setting out and be able to work confidently with Autodesk Auto-Cad.You must have a proven record of setting out on civil engineering projects including earthworks, deep drainage, highways and infrastructure and be capable of producing As-built drawings of such.You will assist the Project Manager and Site Agents with site records, risk assessments, method statements and permits as appropriate and record as built information for the Health & Safety File. You will carry out pre-start OGL surveys with the Survey Department.Ideally you will be a BSc in Civil Engineering or similar. A full UK driving licence is a must. They design, fabricate and erect a range of structural steelwork (schools, hospitals, industrial warehouses, retail units etc) throughout the UK and they now seek a Civil & Structural Engineering TechnicianDuties of the Civil Technician include:•Creating engineering design plans. AutoCad is essential for this role. Training will be given on any other software the company uses as required.•Draft detailed dimensional drawings and design layouts for projects and to ensure conformance to specifications.
