The Role This position suits a multitasking engineer who enjoys the challenge of installation works and servicing. Technical requirements includes good understanding of: - ? Closed Circuit Television Systems ? Intruder Detection Systems ? Fire Systems ? This involves helping R&D team to place compliant and competitive products on the market using cost-effective methods.*** We cannot consider applicants who do not already have the right to work in the EU*** The rolePerform and ensure the necessary safety tests and assessments are undertaken to the required time scales and standards.· Develop and maintain an in-house Training Program covering different Low Voltage Directive standards.·Keep the technicians up to date with the latest test procedures and best practices.· Ensure that the design procedures are in place to achieve compliant designs.· Produce safety and conformity plans for new product designs.· Develop and maintain a system that tracks all the assets in the Electrical Laboratory.· Provide traceability of the equipment and sends a reminder when the equipment is due for calibration, thus ensuring our Laboratory remains compliant with ISO 17025.· Involved in performing EMC testing of products.·Emissions and Immunity testing with particular attention to Conducted and Radiated Emissions as well as Harmonics and Inter-Harmonics in the EMC Laboratory.· Provide assistance to customers experiencing issues with the product. In the initial visit to the customer’s installation collect necessary information in order to understand the problem. Replicate the issue and work in a solution.Qualifications, Experience and profile:· Electrical & Electronic Engineer experience of LVD certification.· Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Physics or similar discipline· Experience of the design and test of electrical or electronic products and/or cubicle based electrical power systems.· An ability to translate/interpret technical standards into realistic requirements for product design and test.· Process savvy with proficiency in management systems
